Buyer Requirements:
We ask that our buyers do their research on the Siberian Husky breed. This breed of dog is not for everyone. They are active and inquisitive. They require lots of human interaction and do not do well when left alone for long periods of time. They WILL find ways to get your attention and not always in a pleasurable manner. There are many web sites on the internet that offer excellent information on the breed, check the AKC Breed Standard. There are also several books available (check Borders.com)
We do not ship pet quality puppies under most circumstances. We do not take PayPal or Credit card purchases.
Buyers need a fenced yard that is secure and an area where your Siberian Husky can get adequate exercise.
We encourage our buyers to invest the time to take your puppy to obedience classes. This helps ensure that your dog learns the rules of being a family member.
We ask that our buyers keep in contact with us. We love updates on how our puppies have grown up. We encourage you to call us if you ever have questions about your dog or it's family history. This also helps us in our breeding program.
All buyers are required to complete an application before purchasing a Siberian Husky from Bralin Siberians. This is done so that the right match can be made and our dogs can live a long, healthy and happy life. We do not just sell to anyone or over the internet, there will be an interview and screening process for each applicant.
Our website is for education and showcasing our dogs and our hobby, not as a business or just to sell dogs or puppies.
Age:
Our puppies are released on an individual basis depending on how they are doing, their litter size, when they start to eat on their own, and lastly how they react to their puppy shots. Generally, puppies go home between 8 to 10 weeks. This is only if the puppy is completely ready to go and the environment where the puppy is going is a safe and secure one. Occasionally we have an older puppy available. These puppies usually have a better defined temperament and adjust very well to new environments.
Vaccinations:
Our puppies receive an initial vaccination prior to going home. We give shots at 7, 11, 16 weeks. After a pup is a year old, it requires an annual booster. Our puppies are wormed prior to going home. We worm all puppies with Nemex II at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks. We use Revolution, a once-a-month application, to control Heartworm and other external parasites. Depending on the time of year, we start our pups at 8 weeks on this medication.
Health Guarantee:
We guarantee all puppies to be healthy when they leave the kennel. If you receive a puppy from us and a health problem develops within 72 hours, you must contact us regarding the problem. We cannot be responsible for veterinary costs not approved prior to treatment. Any puppy which dies due to a genetic defect within
3 years after purchase will be replaced free of charge (except shipping, health certificate and handling fee). This will be done if your veterinarian attributes death to a genetic deformity in an autopsy and sends the findings of the autopsy to us. The autopsy shall be at the owners expense. All parents of our puppies are in superb health. We OFA certify (see Orthopedic Foundation of America web site) all of our dogs. All our dogs have their eyes cleared, free of eye defects, by a certified ophthalmologist annually. (see CERF (Canine Eye Foundation of America) web site)
Contracts/Agreements
I am posting copies of our sales agreements in
the hope that someone thinking of buying a dog from the newspaper ad, without a
sales agreement or contract, will think again.
Below you will find links to our pet contracts, show contracts, as well as to our stud dog contract. These contracts are designed to protect you, as the buyer; us as the sellers; and to ensure the welfare of the dogs. If you wish clarification of anything in a contract or you wish to know WHY we have a particular requirement in a contract, please email us.
These contracts are not written in stone. They are always evolving based upon our experience, etc. Should you wish other terms in any contract, again - email us. We do not promise we will change, but we will always listen to your point of view and will give it careful consideration.
Our contracts for show prospects/adults are
individually designed based upon the age and training of the dog as well as the
desires of both us and the Buyer. Should you wish to inquire about a show
prospect, please email us. Thanks, and have a wonderful day!
