Purchase Information

Buyer Requirements:

Age:

Our puppies are released on an individual basis depending on how they are doing, their litter size, when they start to eat on their own, and lastly how they react to their puppy shots. Generally, puppies go home between 8 to 10 weeks.  This is only if the puppy is completely ready to go and the environment where the puppy is going is a safe and secure one. Occasionally we have an older puppy available. These puppies usually have a better defined temperament and adjust very well to new environments.

Vaccinations:

Our puppies receive an initial vaccination prior to going home.  We give shots at 7, 11, 16 weeks. After a pup is a year old, it requires an annual booster. Our puppies are wormed prior to going home. We worm all puppies with Nemex II at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks.  We use Revolution, a once-a-month application, to control Heartworm and other external  parasites.  Depending on the time of year, we start our pups at 8 weeks on this medication.

Health Guarantee:

We guarantee all puppies to be healthy when they leave the kennel.  If you receive a puppy from us and a health problem develops within 72 hours, you must contact us regarding the problem. We cannot be responsible for veterinary costs not approved prior to treatment. Any puppy which dies due to a genetic defect within 3 years after purchase will be replaced free of charge (except shipping, health certificate and handling fee). This will be done if your veterinarian attributes death to a genetic deformity in an autopsy and sends the findings of the autopsy to us. The autopsy shall be at the owners expense.

All parents of our puppies are in superb health. We OFA certify (see Orthopedic Foundation of America web site) all of our dogs. All our dogs have their eyes cleared, free of eye defects, by a certified ophthalmologist annually. (see CERF (Canine Eye Foundation of America) web site)

Contracts/Agreements

I am posting copies of our sales agreements in the hope that someone thinking of buying a dog from the newspaper ad, without a sales agreement or contract, will think again.

If you are completely sure that you are ready to add a Bralin  pup into your life, please fill out our application.  If you are approved (I will contact you with the good news), you are encouraged to send in a $200 deposit to assure that you will be placed in order for a pup from the coming litter.  If a puppy does not match your choice (male, female, show etc), then I will transfer your deposit to the next litter or I will refund your deposit.  If you place a deposit with us and then get a different puppy from another kennel, and/or you no longer wish to be on the waiting list within 2 weeks after approval, you forfeit your deposit. If due to unforeseen reasons, you need to postpone getting your puppy, I will consider transferring your deposit to another later litter.

Below you will find links to our pet contracts, show contracts, as well as to our stud dog contract. These contracts are designed to protect you, as the buyer; us as the sellers; and to ensure the welfare of the dogs. If you wish clarification of anything in a contract or you wish to know WHY we have a particular requirement in a contract, please email us.

These contracts are not written in stone. They are always evolving based upon our experience, etc. Should you wish other terms in any contract, again - email us. We do not promise we will change, but we will always listen to your point of view and will give it careful consideration.

Our contracts for show prospects/adults are individually designed based upon the age and training of the dog as well as the desires of both us and the Buyer. Should you wish to inquire about a show prospect, please email us. Thanks, and have a wonderful day!
